REVIEW: NO ANGEL #2

Now let’s get into this. No Angel #2 is an amazing addition to the No Angel story, and I have nothing but great things to say. One of the most important things that a comic needs to accomplish in my opinion is keeping the reader interested. Making the reader want to go pick up the next part of the story immediately. I really enjoy this title for so many reasons.

The story for No Angel #2 picks up where issue #1 left off. Hannah meeting her 14-year-old half-sister named Jessica, who also has wings. So I’m definitely intrigued, there is so much I wanna say about the story that I don’t think i would do justice explaining. The best thing I can do is tell you to go read it for yourself. The story is so young and fresh, such a sense of mystery that I wanna get to the bottom of. Eric and Adrianne Palicki have done such an amazing job crafting this comic, I’m hoping they have this all planned out and ready for our eyes. I can’t wait to read more, and see this story wrap up into something grand.

Ari Syahrazad and Jean-Paul Csuka have done a phenomenal job at the art for this book. With the very eerie colors mixed with the thick lines of the characters and setting. Reminds me of Paul Azacetas current work on Robert Kirkmans Outcast. Which I really love. I love looking at the art in this book and the first issue. I’m so excited to see more work from this pair. I’m sure as this comic grows and gets deeper into the story it will shine. Jim Cambell doing the lettering for this title is great as well. I love reading good titles with great letterers, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I would love to be a letterer myself and am trying to improve my work.

So Black Mask has done a great job at finding a great story to publish. I have nothing but great things to say and I recommend it to anyone interested in mystery/horror fans out there. Writing is strong and along with great artists this title will surely shine and get people talking. All I wanna do is hurry up and get the next issue in my possession. Which is what I was talking about. Making the reader so interested they want to hurry up and continue. So as I end this review I have to give it flying colors. 5 Stars
